"He walked and listed his other known talents: pouring beer without too much head, shoplifting, washing dishes, organising items, knowing what was going to be fashionable a little bit early, thrifting, clever commentary..."

He's one of the most knowledgeable, generous, and articulate interviewers I’ve seen, whether he’s in conversation with first-time authors or international award-winners such as Jennifer Egan—he never fails to draw fascinating insights from his subjects and to create a warm and engaging atmosphere for the audience. Myles is also a talented writer—his work is witty, inventive and wide-ranging, and he’s a consummate professional to deal with. Book for the skillset, stay for the style!

"Something happened when you looked in the mirror together. You asked it, as always, a question, and you asked each other something too; and the space, shadowy but glossy, the further room in which you found yourself, as if on a stage, vibrated with ironies and sentimental admissions."
